Paul has more than two years professional experience in Software Development, he generally works freelance or under the name of his own company, VBE Software Development which has its own website, vbe-software.com. Paul can also offer services in technical support, network design and implementation and web design.
In the past Paul has worked as an ICT Technician, a Network Engineer and a Network Manager and this experience has helped him gain a good all-round knowledge of computer and network technologies; combined with Paul’s knowledge of a range of software development platforms this gives him a very broad understanding of ICT as a whole. Paul used to work in the Education sector and is currently employed by Jubilee Components, part of the Lumley Robinson Group of Companies responsible for the manufacturing of the world famous range of Jubilee Clips where he is developing a major database system for them to manage their production procedures.
As well as for-profit projects, such as urmant which is a UCAS reference management tool for secondary schools and college; Paul has also released a number of free software tools, the most popular one being iTunes2MSN - an open source freeware tool for setting your MSN display picture to the album art of the current song playing in iTunes. iTunes2MSN has had tens of thousands of downloads and has been featured in “PC Today”, a Spanish PC magazine distributed to over 65,000 subscribers.
